What We Offer - Individuals and Families
The Foundation accomplishes its MISSION through a ministry to
INDIVIDUALS and FAMILIES:

- Provides information and educational assistance to
individuals who are interested in making special gifts to support the work
of the Church and its institutions.
- Helps individuals plan their gifts in consultation with
their professional advisors to maximize available tax benefits - income tax
deductions, estate tax deductions and preferential capital gains tax
treatment.
- Helps persons to make lasting contributions to
Conference-related ministries and local United Methodist Churches through
planned and/or deferred giving arrangements.
- Acts as the trustee in any giving plan where that service
is needed. The Foundation is the trustee to over 500 trusts benefiting
over 200 local United Methodist Churches and all of the Conference-related
ministries. It manages trust assets of over $28 million and makes
payments to designated charitable beneficiaries.
- Provides life income arrangements (gift annuities,
annuity trusts and unitrusts) and annuity payments to designated
beneficiaries. Over $2.5 million in
income gifts now established with the charitable remainders to be
transferred to new or existing trusts, and to various local churches and/or
their endowment funds.
- Keeps personal consultations in strict confidence .
