Webinar - Funding Ministry

Tue, 03/31/2020 - 1:00pm

The United Methodist Foundation of West Virginia is hosting a free webinar entitled How to Fully Fund Ministry During Social Distancing.  This will be held next Tuesday, March 31, at 1:00 p.m. in partnership with Horizon's Stewardship.

Coronavirus has certainly disrupted normal local church ministry schedules.  But it has also created an enormous opportunity to take the hope of the Gospel from the pews of our church buildings to the people and places in need in our communities.  Now is the time to educate and equip your members and regular attenders to adjust their giving patterns to ensure your church is fully resourced to meet the ever-growing needs of your community.  Many churches have already experienced the majority of their giving shift from offering envelopes to recurring giving online.  That can happen for you, too!

We want to share with you practical ideas to help you accelerate generosity and fully fund your ministry during this time of unprecedented ministry potential.  Join our ministry partners from Horizons Stewardship Joe Park, CEO and Managing Partner and Dr. Scott McKenzie, Senior Vice President and Partner, as they highlight key decisions every church needs to consider, mistakes to avoid, and present an action plan to help you get started.

All who register will also get the FREE resources: Your Guide to Increasing Recurring Electronic Giving During Social Distancing, Communicating with your Ministry and Financial Leaders, Talking about Generosity When the Pews are Empty, and a video recording of the webinar.  So even if you can’t be present, register and you will be able to watch and share the webinar and access the resources at a time convenient for you.
