Foundation Academy of Faith and Generosity

Academy 2021

The Academy of Faith and Generosity will be held on October 19-21 at Canaan Valley Resort in Davis, West Virginia.  As we all know, in-person meeting plans are subject to change, depending on the status of the pandemic.  Because of the spikes in COVID-19 cases in West Virginia, we are requiring anyone attending the academy in person (1) to be vaccinated and (2) to agree to wear masks indoors in public spaces. We will also physically distance as much as practicable during the event.  We are also offering this as a hybrid event, so that anyone can choose to participate remotely.  We will continue to monitor CDC guidelines as well as local health officials' recommendations. It's possible we could relax some of the restrictions, but it's also possible that we would have to postpone the in-person event again. In these days we have to be flexible and take whatever measures we must in order to do no harm.

Do you struggle with continually trying to raise funds for mission and ministry?  Have you read the books and nothing seems to change?  Growing Generosity is dedicated to equipping pastors and laity to change the generosity culture in your church.  You will explore what generosity means and why it is so much more than simply paying bills and meeting the budget.  You will leave with a renewed passion for growing generosity in your own life and the life of your church family.  You will also leave with the practical tools and best practices to actually lead and implement what you’ve learned. 

The event is open to both clergy and laity. Clergy attendees will earn 12 contact hours of continuing education and lay attendees will earn credit for an advanced course.  Registration link is at the bottom of this page.

The program begins on Tuesday, October 19 at 1:00 p.m. and ends at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 21.

Registration

Your registration for the event includes:

  • Conference attendance
  • All Conference material
  • Four meals (dinner on 10/19, breakfast and lunch on 10/20, and breakfast on 10/21
  • Two nights at Canaan Valley Resort.  

Registration Costs are:

  • $225 for a single room
  • $100 for a double room - please note that because of the pandemic, we are unable to match you with a roommate.  Please provide your roommate's name at registration
  • $50 for commuters.  This includes meals but not lodging.
  • $25 for remote attendance.  This includes materials.  Remote attendees will receive a link to attend conference events via Zoom Webinar.
