Foundation Grants Awarded - April 2021


The United Methodist Foundation of West Virginia, Inc. awarded grants totaling $43,000 to several programs and ministries in the West Virginia Annual Conference. According to Foundation president, Jeff Taylor, the Grants Committee reviews applications and awards grants to help fund innovative programs that address acute needs in communities. The Foundation awarded grants for the following: 
  • Doddridge Ecumenical Outlet Food Pantry received a $5,000 grant for their Senior Citizen fresh food voucher program. 
  • Heart and Hand House Mission received a $10,000 grant to help fund repairs on the Belington Thrift Store.
  • Lubeck United Methodist Church received a $2,500 grant for its Community Christmas Tree and Gathering Place.
  • Quiet Dell United Methodist Church received a $5,500 grant to fund its Gardens of Grace project, providing fresh produce and dairy products to those in need in the community.
  • West Hamlin United Methodist Church received a $20,000 grant to help fund expansion of its Hope Community Center.
