Stewardship Resources

The Foundation can be your resource to help your church develop a culture of generosity. Below are a few resources - more will be added as they become available.

  • Go to our webinar page to find informative webinars you can share with your finance team.
  • Start your reading with these books about stewardship that The Foundation staff finds helpful.
  • Consider these Annual Fundraising program resources that Discipleship Ministries has gathered.
  • Consider a budget that is more than just numbers - use a narrative budget.  Here is a beautiful example.  And here is one that is more simple.  Visit Building a Narrative Budget on the Center for Faith and Giving webpage.
  • Include "one-liners" for planned giving ideas in your bulletin, newsletter, and/or financial donor statements.  Here are some to use.  This document contains articles about planned giving you can customize to use in your church's newsletter (This is a Word file.  When you download it, look for it at the bottom of your browser or in your download file on your computer).
  • Use this liturgy for the dedication of a gift to the church.
  • Invite The Foundation staff to meet with your Finance Committee to discuss stewardship.
  • Jeff is a deacon; Kim is a certified lay minister - both are equipped to preach about stewardship in your church - invite us.
  • Check out the upcoming Foundation Academy of Faith and Generosity. Information can be found here.
  • Looking for information about Electronic Giving? Encouraging giving during a pandemic? Why people give?  Visit our Webinar page.
  • Download resources from classes Jeff and Kim taught at the Lakeside Chautauqua Stewardship and Generosity Conference (2018 and 2019).
