Session 4 of the Online Academy of Faith and Generosity was held on November 12, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. Grace Duddy Pomroy, Director of the Stewardship Leaders Program at Luther Seminary, led a session called What's Your Why?
Often we're so focused on what and how that we forget about the why. Whether it's why church or why we give - why is the most crucial question that we can ask or answer for our stewardship work. Join Grace in discussing the "why" of stewardship and how that affects the way that we and others give. Grace will begin by exploring Simon Sinek’s movement from “What to Why” and how sharing our “why” can help engage the whole person – not just their wallet. She’ll explore how sharing our stories can help people get to know our congregation’s “why” and help the church to better understand its mission and share it with others.
